The PhD programs of MME in materials engineering is a course-based program which is organized for four years. The program includes 12 units of academic courses and 24 units for the PhD project. The PhD program of MME at AUT is running according to the PhD curriculum for materials engineering released by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran.
The PhD program of materials engineering at MME  AUT requires the following qualifications, which are supposed to be fulfilled in the 3 or 4 first semesters of the program, before entering the PhD research program:
1 - At least 4 units of courses from the core course table.
2 - At least 4 units of courses from the specific course table.
3 - The remaining units (out of total 12 units) which would be elective courses, recommended by supervisor, may be from graduate courses in the department or out of the department
4 - A certification of English Language accepted by AUT international office.
5 - At least 14 grades of Preliminary exam.
