Introduction

Offering services to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students and out-of-college applicants; Performing service projects and industry standard tests; consulting.
- Examination of mechanical behavior of materials including:
o   Evaluation of fatigue resistance in composite, metallic, ceramic and polymeric (LCF, HCF) materials.
o   Investigation of K1C and J1C fracture resistance (fracture toughness) in metallic, ceramic, composite and polymeric materials.
- Research on the mechanical behavior of modern materials, biomaterials and new building materials, including:
o   Mechanical behavior of dental materials, geopolymers, implants, gypsum composites, polymeric composites and special fabrics, nanomaterials and grade materials.
- High and low cycle fatigue tests
- Tension and compression test
- Hardness test
- Soft tensile and compression tests at high temperatures
- Tensile-Compression fatigue and Torsion-Bending fatigue
- Impact test low to -40 °C and below and above ambient temperature
- Creep test
- Grade determination
- Bending test

Equipment

- Furnace 1200 °C : This furnace is used for performing Blue Brittleness or yield point return test and for conducting heat treatment such as annealing (recrystallization and recrystallization).
- Servo Hydraulic Apparatus, Instron 8502 Series: This device is used for performing uniaxial compression and tensile tests from room temperature up to 1200 °C, triaxial bending test, uniaxial fatigue tests under load control, strain control and displacement control at temperatures up to 1200 °C, LCF, and HCF, fatigue crack growth measurement, fracture toughness tests, K1C, J1C and COD.
- Hardness Tester from Controlab Company: This tester is used for performing Rockwell hardness tests (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, M, P, R, S, V) as well as Brinell and surface hardness tests ( HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, HR15N, HR30N, HR45N)
- Impact Machine from Controlab Company: This machine is used for performing Charpy and Izad impact tests with 150 and 300 kg hammers
- Rotary Bending Fatigue Apparatus: This apparatus is used for performing rotational bending fatigue tests on grooved and non-grooved cylindrical specimens
- 100 Ton Pressure Machine: This machine is used for performing all pressure tests on concrete metallic, ceramic and rock samples with controlled loading rate.
- High-Temperature Creep Apparatus: This apparatus is used for performing stress rapture and steady state creep tests up to 1200 °C on metal, superalloy and composite specimens.
