History

Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (MME) at AmirKabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) was initially founded in 1993. MMEAUT began its activities in education and research as a scientific division of the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering. Since its inception, MMEAUT has demonstrated continuous growth in both the quality and quantity of its achievements. After two and a half decades of operation, MMEAUT transitioned into an autonomous department. The independent Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) was formally established in 2018.
